I have spent nearly 30 years delivering industrial construction and commissioning projects across the mining sector—gold, platinum, copper, chrome, and diamond operations in South Africa, the DRC, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia, and beyond.

I started as a C&I Technician Trainee at AngloGold Ashanti in 1997, working underground at Kopanang and Moab Kotsong. Those years gave me a direct understanding of what quality control means in a high-stakes environment—not as a compliance exercise, but as the difference between a project that runs and one that does not.

Over the following decades, I progressed through Senior C&I Engineering roles at EHL Consulting Engineers, Control Alliance, Wood (formerly AMEC Foster Wheeler), and METC Engineering — taking on project management responsibility for the C&I discipline on EPCM-delivered capital projects.

The same problem appeared on every project I worked on, regardless of size or complexity. QC Packs were never ready when the work started. Drawings were missing or outdated. Progress meetings produced vague reassurances that bore no relationship to what was actually happening on site. When commissioning began, the documentation trail was always behind the work—and handover slipped because of it.

I spent years examining why this kept happening. The answer was always the same. QC documentation is not a documentation problem. It is a timing problem.

QC Pack Accelerator is a system I built to solve it—a lean, structured framework that calculates the exact number of QC Packs a project requires and generates fully compiled QC Packs before construction begins. Not after.

Today I work with EPCM consultants, engineers, project managers, panel manufacturers, and system integrators across the mining and industrial sectors—delivering fully compiled QC Packs ahead of schedule, before each phase begins.
